Deployment & Implementation

Google Apps Fundamentals Training
Rolling out of a new technology infrastructure without educating users will reduce the productivity and efficiency of the organisation. Therefore, GSA assists organisations by providing comprehensive introductory training to enable users to familiarise themselves with Google Apps. As a recognised Google partner, our trainers are experienced and equipped with the expertise required in order to ensure a smooth rollout.
Google Educators Workshops
The main objective of the Google Educators Workshop is to help and assist teachers in turning Google Apps / iCONNECT, which most teachers already use, into even more useful tools in a teaching & learning environment instead of just being purely operational tools. The workshop will focus on assisting teachers to focus on self directed learning (SDL) and collaborative learning (CoL).
The workshop consists of 2 tiers, namely Fundamentals and Level 1. Workshop Level 1 teaches educators to focus on the SDL and CoL aspects and 2 dives deeper into the concentration of individual subjects. Teachers will then be assisted in infusing their curriculum with the assistance of Google Apps and other Web 2.0 tools.
Workshop Overview
The teachers will be led through a series of activities involving various applications, to invoke the development of the stated activity. The following lists the areas of focus covered during the workshop:

- Introduction to workshop - Instructor Lecture - Setting Expectations
- Instructor will lead a Wordle exercise to understand and set the right expectations of the workshop. - Critical Thinking & Communication Skills
- Participants will experience the use of Google Docs to facilitate the development of critical thinking and communication skills - Facilitating Collaborative Learning
- Participants will use Google Apps to promote collaborative learning through the combined usage of several Apps - Setting of Goals & Process Monitoring
- Provide a platform to support teachers in project management using Google Calendar - Smart Targets Using Google Apps
- Teachers creating an opportunity for students to set SMART (Specifically Measurable Achievable Realistic Timely) targets using Google Spreadsheet/Gadgets - Consolidation of Learning with Google Sites
- Consolidating data and ideas into digital format (e-portfolio) - Creation of Mind Maps, Diagrams & Flowcharts with Google Docs
- Participants will use Google Drawing to create various exercises individualy or through collaboration
